About This Website
This website has been created to provide the life story and galleries of Jim and Mary Read, their three children, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Whether you’re here to explore or stay updated, this guide is a good place to start.
Unlike most modern websites, many of the pages and posts herein limit the white space and are condensed to present the information in the best viewing layout. Each page, blog post or other resources were created to be informative and engaging. Feel free to comment, share your thoughts, ask questions, or start a discussion.
Page Content
Like most web pages, there are three sections in most pages. At the top of the page is the Header. The main content of the page is in the Body, At the bottom is the Footer that contains a secondary menu and other page related content.
User login is not required to browse the website but may be accessed by a link in the Header. Registration and other account options are accessed by use of the three bar menu in the Header.
Viewing the family related galleries is limited to registered user accounts only.
There are six primary pages which are viewed using the primary menu. The first two primary pages, Home and About, have a maximum width of 1920 pixels while the remaining four have a limited width of 1080 pixels or less to best display the page content.
The Galleries page provides menu links to the thirty-two gallery pages containing the photo galleries. All gallery pages can be expanded to a width of 1920 pixels to accommodate large thumbnails in six columns.
The Forum page is used for author and multi-user comments, while some pages also have a comments section below the body. A Team page is provided to allow all family adults to upload photos to the website media library. All primary pages are fully responsive to correctly display the content on most phone, tablet and computer devices.
